BLANCHE M. DUENO

Blanche M. Dueno, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002 at
St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Blanche was born Feb. 8, 1908 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Mary
Pacal Cerny. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln
High School with the class of 1924. After graduating from Manitowoc County Normal
in 1926 she taught in rural Manitowoc for two years. On June 1, 1929, she married
Clarence F. Dueno at Manitowoc. Clarence preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1977. A
member of St. Andrew Catholic Church she was active in the St. Theresa Society,
the Manitowoc Braille Club, Lions Auxiliary, Elks Ladies and the Western Fraternal
Life Association. Blanche enjoyed bridge, was a good cook, enjoyed camping and
deer, pheasant and duck hunting.
Survivors include a daughter: Donna Mae Waters, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; grandchildren:
Lynn (David) Busa, Villa Park, Ill.; Cindy (Robert) Kmiecik, Warrenville, Ill.;
Lori Waters, Elgin, Ill.; great grandson: Lucas Kmiecik; brother-in-law: Clarence
Rohrer, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. In
addition to her parents and husband Clarence, she was preceded in death by a son-
in-law: Robert Waters Feb. 21, 2001; a brother Joseph Cerny, and four sisters:
Mary Morris, Vlasta Hansen, Helen Rohrer and Ann Kluba.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28,
2002 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1416 Grand Avenue at South 14th Street,
Manitowoc. Rev. Camillus Janas, OFM will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Relatives and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church
to the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc, is serving
the family.
