DUENO DIES AT HOME SUNDAY, AGE 73
Was Engineer At Shipyards For Many Years;
Funeral Will Be Wednesday
Frank F. Dueno, 73, for over two score years
engineer at the yards of the Manitowoc Shipbuilding corporation here, and a
lifelong resident of Manitowoc, died at the home, 930 South 19th street, Sunday
night. He had been in failing health for the last month.
Funeral services will
be held from the home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and at 2 p.m. from the First German
Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. Koeninger officiating. The remains will be
removed to the home Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased, whose father was also
engineer at the shipyards before he took over the position, was born in the town
of Manitowoc, July 21, 1859. He was a brother of two Manitowoc officials, the
late August Dueno, for years fire chief of the city, and the late Captain
Charles Dueno of the police department.
The deceased was married in 1885 to
Louise Stefen. Later they moved to this city and
for 42 years he was at the
engine room at the ship yards. He retired six years ago on account of failing
health.
Besides his widow he is survived by one brother, Ernest, city, three
daughters, Mrs. Frank J. Barwig and Mrs. Henry E. Schuette, Milwaukee, and Mrs.
George E. Peters, city, five grandchildren, Mrs. Ray Folkman, Mrs. Carl
Ohlrogge, Harvey E. Schuette and George C. Barwig, Milwaukee, and Miss Alpha
Peters, city and one great grandchild, Carlene Ohlrogge.
