Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday May 15, 1999, at St. Paul
Catholic Church. Rev. Ronald Reimer will officiate at the Mass of Christian
Burial with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Wencel was born June 27, 1926, at Manitowoc, son of the late Wencel J. and
Emma Kettner Dufek. He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and graduated
from Lincoln High School with the class of 1944. Wencel as married to Mabel
M. Shupita on December 28, 1959. Wencel was an independent insurance agent
for 32 years and at one time Manitowoc County Civil Defense Director. He
was
a life long member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Traveler's
Protective
Association. Wecel(sic) loved fishing and enjoyed friendly social events.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel and numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives
and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence,
Roland and
Emil and a sister, Lila Scheinoha.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Paul Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
