Gerald Duket Is Dead at 63
Gerald J. Duket, 63, president and treasurer of Gray Robinson Construction Co.,
died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, after a coronary attack. He resided at
1243 N. Ninth St.
Mr. Duket was born June 10, 1901, at Marinette, son of the late James and Anna
Younk Duket. He attended schools at Marinette and was graduated from Marinette
High School in 1919. When a young man he started with the Gray Robinson firm.
In the early 1930s he was an engineer in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Eagle
River and Cable, Wis. Later he returned to the Gray Robinson firm while living at
Eagle River. He moved to Manitowoc in 1945 and had also resided at Two Rivers.
Married in 1923
He was named president and chairman of the firm April 23, 1949. Mr. Duket married
Wanda Rindt Nov. 8?, 1923, at Menominee, Mich. He was a member of the St. Paul
Methodist Church, retired member of the church board of trustees, member of the
Men’s Club, Lions, United Commercial Travelers, Manitowoc Lodge of Free and
Accepted Masons 65, Manitowoc Chapter, 16, Manitowoc Commandery 45, Knights Templar,
Scottish Rite, was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Tripoli Temple Shrine of Milwaukee,
Manitowoc Chapter 196, Order of Eastern Star and the Manitowoc-Two Rivers Shrine
club.
Surviving are his wife, a son, (private), a brother, John, of Marinette and four
grandchildren. A daughter, Audrey Elizabeth, and a sister preceded him in death.
Services Friday
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Methodist Church, the Rev.
D. L. Wandschneider officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
