Death yesterday morning of Franz Hermann Dumke, a well-know resident of our
city, of throat illness and general debilitation. The deceased, who was born
22 Oct. 1821 in Germany, came to America in 1841, moving to Newton in 1850.
In 1881 he moved to Manitowoc. He is survived by 5 grown children. The burial
will take place tomorrow afternoon.
