DEATH CLAIMS MRS. H. DUMMER AT AGE OF 80

Life’s pilgrimage of eighty years was ended for Mrs. Henrietta Dummer, resident
of the city since 1891 when death came to her this morning at the home of Herman
Marquardt, 1418 South Twelfth street with whom she had made her home, Mrs.
Marquardt, who passed away two years ago having been a daughter of the decedent.

Death was due to age, the sands of life having been at ebb tide for several
weeks, Mrs. Dummer having been failing since the first of the year.

Her death, although not unexpected, is a shock to family and friends by whom she
was much beloved.

Mrs. Dummer was born at Ganzkow, Pommern, Germany, April 7, 1842, and came to
Manitowoc in 1891.

Her husband preceded her in death twenty-three years ago since which time she
had made her home with her children, of whom there were five, four of whom
survive, being Mrs. John Marquardt, Mrs. August Meyer, William and Albert
Dummer, all of this city.

Mrs. Dummer’s life was wrapped up in that of her children and she will be sadly
missed in the family circle.

Funeral services will beheld from the Marquardt home Friday afternoon at 2, the
Rev. Machmiller officiating.
