EMILIE DUSOLD

Mrs. Alex Dusold, 80, of 928 South Ninth street, died late Thursday afternoon.
She suffered a stroke last Monday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the First German
Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will
be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Dusold, nee Emilie Krause, was born in Posen, Germany, in 1858 and at the
age of 10 came to Manitowoc. She was married here in 1881 to Alex Dusold, pioneer
Manitowoc printer, who published the Manitowoc Wahrheit, a German language weekly
here for years and later operated a job printing shop. He died in 1932.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Emma E. Bartel, city; two sons, Fred and Edwin,
city; brother, Charles, Shoto; and a grandchild, Bernice Bartel, city.
The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer funeral home until 11 a.m. Saturday and
then will be moved to the church. The body may also be viewed at the church until
the hour of services.
