HENRY EBERHARDT (d. 1961)
Henry Eberhardt, 90, of 866 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following an illness of six months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church,
Manitowoc, with the Rev. Gervase J. Zanotti officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Eberhardt was born Feb. 16, 1870, in the Town of Newton, son of the late
August and Amelia Mundt Eberhardt. He attended McCalister School at Manitowoc
Rapids and later served on the School Board there for many years. He married
Flora Christina Kiel Nov. 9, 1897. The family operated the Evergreen Farm at
Four Corners for many years prior to his retirement in 1943. He was noted for
his fine Hereford cattle herds. After his retirement the family moved to
Manitowoc. There he became a member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as
an elder for many years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Men’s Club and
active in the Manitowoc County Republican Club. His wife preceded him in death
in 1955.
Surviving are 15 nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m. Sunday and
until 11 a.m. Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state
until time of services. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
