LEONA EBERHARDT

Mrs. Herbert (Leona) Eberhardt, 75, of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday
morning at home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Eberhardt, nee Leona Pleuss, was born April 24, 1899 in the Town of
Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Commings Pleuss. She
was married to Herbert Eberhardt June 24, 1920 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Newtonburg and was a resident of the Town of Manitowoc Rapids all her
life. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies
Aid Society of the church and Silver Lake Homemaker’s club.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Sylvia
Eberhardt of Manitowoc; a brother, John of Green Bay; two sisters, Mrs. Agon
(Hertha) Haupt of Manitowoc and Mrs. George (Minnie) Kirt of Green Bay and a
granddaughter, Joy Eberhardt of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitoowc, from 4 pm to
9 pm Wednesday and at the church Thursday from noon until the time of service.
