E. ENGELBRECHT PASSES AWAY, ILL FOR A YEAR
Edward Engelbrecht, for fourteen years engaged in business in operating a milk
route in the city, later employed with the Streich Oil Company, died early
today at Maple Crest sanitarium at Whitelaw where he had been a patient for one
month. During the past ten days his condition had grown steadily worse and there
was no hope for his recovery, death coming as a messenger of release.
Mr. Engelbrecht was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Engelbrecht, Route 5, and was
born November 21, 1882(sic) and had always made his home in this city where he
was widely known. He engaged in milk delivery route business in early years and
for fourteen years followed the business and for some time previous to the
attack of illness a year ago, was employed with the Streich Oil Company.
Besides his wife and one son, William, Mr. Engelbrecht is survived by his parents,
four brothers and six sisters, being Eugene, of this city, Max, of Clear Lake,
Esther, Milwaukee, Mrs. George Mahnke, Clear Lake; Alman, of California, Mrs. Carl
Brown, of Chest, Mont., Mrs. Alma Reimers, of Coleman and Mrs. George Kucera, of
Wausau and Mary, of this city.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the home on Division street.
