CARMEN ERDMAN

Mrs. George (Carmen) Erdman, of 814 Washington St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, August 29, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Erdman, nee Carmen L. Rathsack, was born at Manitowoc,daughter of the late Joseph and Hertha Lange Rathsack. She resided in Manitowoc all her life and attended Manitowoc public schools. She was married to George H. Erdman Oct. 6, 1928, at Waukegan, Ill. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at various local theatres as a pianist and organist and did a lot of volunteer work at various local homes for the elderly. Mrs. Erdman was a member of Senior Citizens and Veterans of Foreign wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, George H. Erdman; a sister and brother-in-law, Violet and Arthur Schmidt of Manitowoc; two nieces, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Martin of Manitowoc and Mrs. Richard Joette Paterson of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandnieces and three grandnephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock this Tuesday evening. Memorial service will be 7:30 o'clock by VFW Auxiliary.
