She was born on June 23, 1921 in Kewaunee, daughter of the late Curtis & Regina (Rooney) Allen. Marion was a graduate of Kewaunee High School, where she was a cheerleader and played flute. On July 5, 1941 she married her husband of 66 years, John A Erickson. Together they were the kind, loving, devoted parents of eight children. Marion was a devote Catholic and member of St. Andrew Catholic Chruch where she sang in the choir and played her flute. She was a member of the Lions Club and Daughters of Isabella and Holy Family Charismatic prayer chain.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law; a son-in-law; two sons and a daughter-in-law; fourteen grandchildren (private); seventeen great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Erickson; a son, Curt Erickson; a daughter Mary Kaye Stiles; two sisters: Edith & Carol; and a brother, Pat.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton. Cremation will take place at a later date at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitwooc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Marion was an unselfish, loving wife, mother and grandparent. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
