George Q. Ewen Funeral Is To Be At Manitowoc Herald Times, Manitowoc, Wisconsin,
Funeral services will be held from the chapel at Evergreen cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday for George Q. Ewen, a former resident of Manitowoc who died Saturday
afternoon at his home in Appleton. He was 65 years of age.
The deceased was born in this city in 1870 and later located in other Wisconsin
cities traveling for a number of outside companies. He was married here to Miss
Adela Boecher. Mr. Ewen returned to Manitowoc to operate a restaurant for a few
years and then left to locate at Appleton.
He traveled for the Chicago Tube and Iron company for the last 20 years, making
Appleton his headquarters. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, the U.C.T. and
the Knights of Pythias.
Survivors are his widow; a son Quirin, 4_, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. James
Collins, and Mrs. Lyman Steffen, Antigo.
Following services at Appleton at 10 a.m. tomorrow the body will be brought to
Evergreen cemetery here for interment.
