Mrs. John Fabera, 71, of 929 N. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Fabera was born Ludmilla Hanus Sept. 16, 1890, at Prague, Czechoslovakia,
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hanus. She came to this country in 1913
and was married to John Fabera in March, 1919, at Rockford, Ill., where he was
stationed with the Army at Camp Grant. After his discharge in May, 1919, they
came to Manitowoc, where he was a painter until his retirement seven years ago.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ladi, of Lakewood, Oconto County; two
sisters, living at Prague, Czechoslovakia, and two granddaughters, (private).
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
