INJURIES OF NINE WEEKS AGO HASTEN END (photo)
Pioneer Settler Who Had Made Home Here More Than 60 Years, Widely Known
Death, hastened by injuries which he sustained nine weeks ago in
a fall while at work on trees in his yard, claimed Hubert Falge,
pioneer settler and more than sixty years a resident of the city,
last night. Active despite his 93 years up to that time, Mr. Falge
since the accident, had been confined to his bed and during the
last several weeks had been a patient at the Holy Family hospital
when the end came at 8 o'clock.
The death of Judge Falge, as he was familiarly know ????? ?? of his
long tenure of office as justice of the peace in the city, ????? one
of the oldest of Manitowoc pioneer residents and one who through
three score and more years of life here had been actively interested
in the city's affairs.
A kindly man of high character and companionable nature. Judge Falge
numbered his friends by legion and in his delcining years when age
had taken him from out of the active ranks, he was a familiar figure
in his daily walks and every where was greeted with cordiality.
Had Only 22 Birthdays
Although Mr. Falge was born in Trautenau, Germany, 93 years ago, Mr.
Falge by reason of the fact that his birthday was February 29, had
observed but twenty-two anniversaries and ofttimes ??????? to this
in referring to his age ???? to robust health which remained with
him almost to the ???? of ???? injury. For many years Judge Falge
with Judge Chloupek and ????ly one or two others, have ????mony of
his youth by and ????? hike to Reedsville on ???? ???? distant point.
Daily he ??? ??? on his walks about the ?????? found keen enjoyment
in visits ?? many sections where his ???? the changes that had taken
place since pioneer days when he was one of the early settlers.
Was Highly Educated
A man of unusual ????? Judge Falge was well ???? and ??? educated,

In 1860 Mr. Falge married Mary Ludvik in Europe and
