Mrs. Mary Fehrman, 86, of 1018 N. 20th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient 11 days.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Paul Blank officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Mary Trossen was born July 8, 1874, at Mishicot, daughter of the
late Jacob and Barbara Wenner Trossen. She attended Mishicot Schools and was
married in the village to August Fehrman May 26, 1894. The couple resided a
number of years at Mishicot, moved to Whitelaw, residing there 34 years, and
came to Manitowoc in 1941. Her husband died in 1956.
Mrs. Fehrman was a member of First Reformed Church, a past president of Bethany
Ladies Aid, treasurer of the society until death and a member of Manitowoc
County Homemakers. The Fehrmans observed the 60th anniversary of their wedding
in 1954.
Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. John E. Cisler, of Valders; a sister, Mrs.
Clara Brixus, of Milwaukee, a brother, Louis Trossen, of Marshfield, Wis., three
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Four sisters and five brothers
preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc after 3 p.m. Sunday until 10:30
a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie
in state until the hour of service.
