HAROLD W. FEHRMANN

Harold W. Fehrmann, age 85, of Menasha, was born into eternal life on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center.
Harold was born Aug. 18, 13921, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Leonard and Elsa Schnell Fehrmann. On June 4, 1949, he married Anita M. Bruckschen in Manitowoc County. Harold served his country as a member of the U.S. Army for three and a half years during World War II. Harold was employed by J.C. Penney, American Family Insurance, and the Wisconsin Telephone Company, which later became AT&T when he moved from Manitowoc to Appleton in 1977. He retired from the materials management division of AT&T in February of 1987 after 20 years of employment, and continued to make his home in the Appleton area. Harold was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Appleton; Telephone Pioneers; Golden K Kiwanis in Appleton; the American Legion Post 88 of Manitowoc for 64 years; past commander of Post 88; and a member of Eagle’s Aerie 706 in Manitowoc. He as very proud to be a friend of Bill W. for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife: Anita, Menasha; five children: Annette (James) Smith, Fremont; Brian (Arlene) Fehrman, Wauwatosa; Charlene (Jerome) Miske, Francis Creek; the Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann, New London; Elaine (Willard) Springer, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Angie (Kevin) Polinsky; Matthe Fehrmann, Jennifer Fehrmann; Katie (Bret) Van Dyken; Erica Miske, Bradley Miske; Brent (Kristin) Borgwardt, Melissa (Michael) Mecca; Justin Springer; four great-grandchildren: Eliza Jo-Miske; Tristen Scott Polinsky, Aubrie Lynn Polinsky; Erin Nicole Borgwardt; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Alice (Harold) Schnell, and Doris Bruckschen; niece, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Harold was preceded in death by his parents his brother and sister-in-law: Orlando and Kay Fehrmann; one son-in-law: Merlin Borgwardt; one brother-in-law: Elroy Bruchschen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann and the Rev. Kevin Gregory will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Harold’s name.
