Mrs. Richard Fenske, 54, nee Miss Rose Schmidt, former resident of this city,
died Sunday in Chicago, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Fenske was born in Manitowoc and was married here to Mr. Fenske. They
lived here for a number of years, Mr. Fenske being employed at the knitting
mills. Sixteen years ago they moved to Chicago.
Survivors are the widower; son Earl, now with the armed forces overseas; two
brothers, Anton and Andrew of South Dakota; five sisters, Mrs. Emil Westphal,
Mrs. August Franz, Mrs. William Junk and Mrs. John Franz, of this city, Mrs.
Otto Ticke, of Kewaunee.
The body is to be brought to Manitowoc Tuesday evening and will be taken to
the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. Time of the services will be
announced later.
