VICTOR FIDLER

Mr. Victor J. Fidler, 74, a resident of 3006 Lindbergh Drive, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, October 24, 1990 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9 am Saturday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 9:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born April 6, 1916 in Rosecrans, Wisconsin, son of the late Frank and Lillian Petska Fidler. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1934 and served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Fidler worked for the United States Postal Transportation Service for 18 years, retiring in 1966. He married Jeanette M. Kurth October 5, 1940 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 710, Otto Oas V.F.W. Post No. 659 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette, six children, Jean Kiefer of Manitowoc, Victor (Thomas) O'Grady of Fond du Lac, Mary (Jeffrey) Roberts of Manitowoc, Terri Scheurell of Manitowoc, Frank (Rosanne) Fidler and John Fidler, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Roy Fidler and a sister, Lucille (James) Pankratz, all of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Margaret Fidler of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Fidler.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Friday from 5-8 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm led by Deacon William Klein.
