EMMA FIERST

Mrs. Emma Fierst, 79, of Francis Creek, died Tuesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient since Sunday. She had been ill a short time.
Funeral services will be at 1:430 p.m. Friday at Melnik Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Robin E. Butler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Emma Swetlik was born June 24, 1886, in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Bilek Swetlik. She was married Nov. 12, 1907, to Frank Fierst and the couple farmed the Fierst homestead until 1948, retiring and moving to Francis Creek. He died Dec. 2, 1955. Mrs. Fierst was a member of Martha Society of Melnik Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. Victor (Irene) Feit of Francis Creek, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Elfner of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frank (Rosalie) Neuser of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Francis (Dorothy) Bolle of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; a son, Raymond on the home farm; a sister, Mrs. Rose Meyer of Manitowoc; a brother, Adolph Swetlik of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A daughter, Florence, died in 1962 and a brother and a sister also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, after 3 p.m. Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Friday and then at the church until time of service.
