LILLIAN FIERST

Mrs. Emanuel Fierst, 62, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died Wednesday night at the Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Dr. C. H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian Church
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Lillian Zeman in Gibson in 1891 and in 1910 was married to Mr.
Fierst. They located on a farm in the town of Kossuth. She was a member of the
ZCBJ lodge of Melnik.
Surviving are her husband; son, Daniel E. of Green Bay; three brothers, Joseph
of Kossuth, William of the town of Manitowoc and Anton of Mishicot; three
sisters, Mrs. Louis Sedlacek and Mrs. Stephan Mleziva of Gibson and Mrs.
Clarence Wenzel of Brillion.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Friday noon.

Notes From Melnik:
The wedding of Miss Lillie Zeman of this vicinity and Mr. Emanuel Fierst of
Francis Creek was solemnized Tuesday, April 12, at 11 o'clcok A.M., at Emil
Wilda's hall. Justice of the Peace Miloslav Dushek tied the nuptial knot in
the presence of a large circle of friends and relatives.
The Misses Olga Zeman, Emma Skarivoda, Anna Rezek, Fannie Buckley, Alvina
Kalchik and Anna Zeman were bridesmaids and Messrs. Adolph Soukup, Emil Witt,
Adolph Swetlik, Anton Pech, Joseph Albrecht and Anton Fierst acted as groomsmen.
Following the ceremony a sumptuous dinner was served to relatives and friends
of the contracting parties. The afternoon and evening was spent in dancing till
the wee small hours of the morning. Maribel band funished the music.
The bride is a charming and affable young lady, who has a large circle of
friends. The groom is a well-to-do young man of exemplary habits and has a
host of friends.
The couple will reside at Francis Creek where Mr. Fierst is operating a farm.
Your correspondent together with their many friends extends best wishes for
many years of connubial bliss and felicity.
