Edward Filholm, 61, Dies At Home in Chicago
Edward Filholm, 61, a native of Manitowoc, and brother of the Misses Clara
and Anna Filholm of this city, died Monday afternoon at his home in Chicago,
according to telegrams received here. Burial is to take place in this city.
The deceased was born in Manitowoc and educated in the public schools here.
He took up the jewelry trade serving his apprenticeship at the Rummele company.
He removed to Chicago 35 years ago and has since resided there. He was employed
by the Benjamin Allen company of that city until taken ill a few months ago.
Survivors are a brother Calvin, New York city, and two sisters, Misses Anna and
Clara Filholm of this city. His wife died six months ago.
Funeral services will be held in Chicago, Wednesday afternoon and the body
brought to Manitowoc on the Limited North Western train in the evening. Brief
services are planned here Thursday with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
It was announced this afternoon that funeral services for Mr. Filholm will be
held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Frazier mortuary in charge of the Rev. C. H.
Phipps of the first Presbyterian church.
