JOSEPH FINCH, PIONEER, IS LAID TO REST
Funeral services for the late Joseph Finch, pioneer resident of
Liberty and for years a member of the county board, were held from
St. Isadore's church at Osman today, the Rev. Schmidt officiating.
Mr. Finch's death was due to a heart trouble and age, he being 81
when the summons came. He was one of the best known of pioneers
of the county and had resided on Route ?, ??? of Valders for many
years.
Mr. Finch was born at Ottawa, Can., October 14, 1844 and came to
Wisconsin when a child of four, residing here ever since. Mrs. Finch,
who was Elizabeth Stephenson died October 14, 1925 and five children
survive, being Mrs. John Barnes, Liberty, Mrs. M. Kubsch, Cooperstown
and Miss Alice at home and John of Racine and Frank at Osman.
