OLD RESIDENT OF COUNTY AND CITY PASSES ON
Mrs. Amelia Fischer Is Taken Suddenly by Death at Hospital After a Brief Illness
Striking swift and with little or no warning, death early this morning claimed
Mrs. Amelia Fischer, 81, at the Holy Family hospital where she had lingered for
but two days. Mrs. Fischer had been ailing for more than a year but her condition

coming unexpectedly this morning at an early hour.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home of her son,
William Fischer, at 1112 Phillipen street, and at 2 from St. John's church, the
Rev. Kuhn officiating, and burial will take place at Evergreen.
Lived Here 23 Years
Born in Germany, August 10, 1846, Mrs. Fischer, nee Raatz, came to this country
with her parents at the age of 6 years, coming directly to this county which has
been her home since. The last 23 years have been spent in the city, at the home
at 1519 Division street. Mr. Fischer passed away nine years ago.
