HENRY FOGELTANZ

PIONEER OF COUNTY DIES AT HOSPITAL
Complications from which he had suffered for some time, last night at the Holy
Family hospital, claimed the life of Henry Fogeltanz, 65 year old town of
Franklin resident who spent nearly all of his lifetime on the same homestead
west of Whitelaw. Death occurred at 7 o’clock.
Born in Bohemia on January 14, 1867, Mr. Fogeltanz came to this country when a
boy of one or two years of age, and with his parents settled on the farm which
he ran for many years up to the time of his retirement about 13 years ago. He
never married and his only immediate survivors include a brother John, in the
town of Franklin, and 21 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, February 15, from the old
homestead farm conducted by Anton Kubichka, Whitelaw Route 1, at 1:30 o’clock
with interment taking place at Evergreen cemetery. Rev. Frank Junek of Melnik
will officiate.
The body is to be removed from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei mortuary to the
old homestead late this afternoon.
