Wenzel Fogeltanz, 83, of 408 St. Clair St., Manitowoc, a retired longtime Rt.
1, Two Rivers farmer, died Friday morning at Manitowoc County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral
Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Claude Le Clair officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Fogeltanz was born at Cooperstown July 1, 1877, a son of the late Thomas and
Margaretha Sladky Fogeltanz. He married the former Mary Mleziva Jan. 20, 1912, at
Manitowoc after which the couple took over the operation of a farm on Rt. 1, Two
Rivers, until retirement to Manitowoc 24 years ago. Mrs. Fogeltanz died at
Manitowoc in 1955.
Surviving are two daughters, Mr. Anton Ruminski Jr., of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, and
Mrs. Elmer Markwardt of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hamernik of
Manitowoc and Mrs. Anna Hoffman of Denmark; two grandsons, Donald and Dale
Markwardt, and three great granddaughters.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will
be recited at 8 p.m.
