Patrick Foley, 71, a resident of the city for 35 years, died early today
at the Holy Family hospital. He suffered a foot infection and part of his
leg was amputated Monday.
Mr. Foley was born in Ireland and when a young man came to the United States,
living at Holyoke, Mass., and Astabula, Ohio, before coming to Manitowoc. He
was employed for a number of years by marine contractors here and also sailed
the lakes as a seaman.
The body is at the Pfeffer funeral home, as efforts were made today to locate
surviving relatives.

Funeral services for Patrick Foley, 71, who died at the Holy Family hospital
Thursday morning were held this morning at 8:30 from the Pfeffer funeral home
and at nine o'clock from the St. Boniface church. The Rev. Peter Duerr
officiated and burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
The rosary was recited at the funeral home Friday evening.
