Mrs. William J. Frank, 72, of 1714 Columbus St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday
afternoon at her home after an illness of several months. She was the mother
of Erwin Frank, radio maintenance supervisor for the Manitowoc County Traffic
Department.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Armin Roekle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Born Clara Wilde on June 20, 1885, she was the daughter of the late Fred J. and
Minnie Gierke Wilde of Manitowoc. She was married June 26, 1906?, to Mr. Frank
in School Section, Town of Mishicot, and located in Manitowoc Rapids where her
husband operated a cheese factory. In 1922 they moved to Manitowoc when her
husband took employment with the Manitowoc Products Co. dairy division. In 1925
they took over operation of a cheese factory at Fisherville for 12 years before
returning to Manitowoc. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Surviving are the husband and son of Manitowoc; brother, Edwin Wilde of Daytona
Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren, (private).
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Friday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the body will be moved to the church to
lie in state until the time of service.
