Mae Morris Franz, age 82, of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 620
S. 31st St., Manitowoc, died late Sunday evening, November 29, 1998, at
St. Mary's Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 3,
1998, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's
Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev.
Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born May 21, 1916, in Schaffer, Mich., daughter of the late
Edward and Emma LaLonde Doutre. She graduated from Kingford High School,
Iron Mountain, Mich., with the class of 1932. She also attended the
Manitowoc Vocational School. For 17 years she was self-employed with her
husband, Jack Morris as owners of the A & W. Restaurant in Manitowoc.
She married Jack H. Morris, on January 31, 1935, in Michigan. He
preceded her in death in 1986. She then married Anthony G. Franz, on
July 27, 1991, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1994.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella,
Eagles Auxiliary and the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Kathleen
Morris, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Tracy, Angela and Ryan; three
step-daughters, Liane (Joseph) Galioto, Buffalo, N.Y., Karyn Hale, Green
Bay, Judy Ness, Buffalo, N.Y.; one brother, Ernest Doutre, Flint, Mich.;
14 step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her first husband, Jack, in 1986; her second
husband, Anthony, in 1994; one son, Wayne; two sisters, Minnie Coking
and Evelyn Khoury; two brothers, Alcide and Eugene Doutre.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, on Wednesday,
from 5-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
evening led by Father Roman.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
