WILLIAM FRANZ

William Franz, 50, Green and 18th streets, died Wednesday afternoon at the Holy
Family hospital. He submitted to an operation early this week.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home and at two o’clock from the first German Evangelical
Lutheran church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Franz was born in this city in 1887 and was engaged in farming for a number
of years before locating permanently in the city. He married Miss Helen Dickert
in 1912.
Survivors are the widow; daughter, Lorraine; five brothers, Alexa and John, city,
Herman, Mishicot, Fred, Manitowoc Rapids, Albert, Shoto; three sisters, Mrs. John
Schaefer and Mrs. John Hemaner, both of Stockbridge, Wis., Mrs. Rudolph Pilgram,
Kewaunee.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after Friday noon. The casket will not
be opened at the church.
