EDMUND OLIVER FREIBERG

Edmund O. Freiberg, 76, of 216 East Park View Lane, Manitowoc, died Sunday
afternoon, March 19, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral
services will be 9:30 am Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy
Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the Mass of Christian
Burial will be Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Freiberg was born May 24, 1912 at Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, son of the
late Albert and Bertha Freiberg. He moved to Manitowoc in 1937 where he married
the former Ruth Geisler, May 15, 1939. She preceded him in death October 9,
1963. He then married Marian Zipperer Lamach, October 14, 1967, at Manitowoc.
Prior to retiring he was Regional Sales Manager for the Mail Pouch Tobacco
Company for many years. During the summer months he and his wife resided at
their summer home at Hayward, Wisconsin, where he was a licensed fishing guide.
Mr. Freiberg was a member of Holy Innocents Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Marian F.; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne R. and
Gerald J. Champeau of Manitowoc; a stepdaughter and her husband, Jeanne and
Eugene Runnoe of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Anne and Andy Champeau, Craig,
Kristy and Katie Runnoe, all of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by a brother
and two sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funralhome, Manitowoc, 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday, where a
prayer service will be 7:30 pm by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
