MARY FREUND
Mrs. Oscar Freund, 88, of Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at Family Heritage
Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N. .W. Kock will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Freund was born Dec. 26, 1880, in Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, daughter
of the late Thomas and Josephine Genpha Kautzer. She was married to Oscar Freund
March 22, 1899, after which the couple farmed at Eaton until moving to Manitowoc
in 1920. Her husband preceded her in death, Dec. 18, 1944.
Survivors include two sons, Hilary and Wilfred, both of Manitowoc, a sister,
Mrs. John Klabdchek, of Sheboygan, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A son, a daughter, four brothers, three sisters and a grandson preceded her in
death.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home, Manitowoc, Ninth Street
entrance, after 3 p.m. Thursday until 12:30 p.m. Friday and then at the church
until time of service. Memorials may be given to the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church.
