EDWARD O. FRICKE (d. 1955)

Edward O. Fricke, 71, retired rolling mill employe of the Aluminum Goods Mfg.
Co., died Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. He suffered a
cerebral hemorrhage July 5, at the Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, where he had
resided the past three years.
Tentative funeral plans have been set for Tuesday afternoon at the St. John
Evangelical and Reformed Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. A.C. Fischer will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born in Manitowoc, Nov. 14, 1883, and in 1905 married Miss Alice Kimmel,
in Chicago. They located in St. Louis and moved to Manitowoc in 1909. He was
employed in the rolling mill at the Aluminum Goods Co., in Manitowoc, retiring
seven years ago. His wife died in 1939.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Bernard Schwake of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Mrs.
Norman Sherman of Milwaukee, Miss Viola Fricke of Los Angeles, Mrs. David Seely
of El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. Ralph Miller of Madison; three sons, Robert W. of
Manitowoc, the Rev. Elmer Fricke of Glenbuelah, Calif., and Allen of Englewood,
Calif., two brothers, John and Joseph of Manitowoc and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after Monday
noon.
