FLORENCE M. FRICKE

Florence M. Fricke, age 91, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died on Sunday morning, Aug. 19, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County. She was born on July 13, 1916 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Gleixner) Bies. Florence was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1935. On Dec. 26, 1939 she married James H. Fricke at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2004.
Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Jay (Tamara) Fricke and Diane Fricke, all of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn (Earl) Nokes, Two Rivers; nine grandchildren; Candice (Mark) Truesdell, Cedarburg; Kim Nokes, Oshkosh; Christopher (Annette) Nokes, Lake Geneva; Craig (Paula) Fricke, Manitowoc; Mark (Lori) Fricke, Green Bay; Adria (Jeff) Pekarek, Two Rivers; and Emily, Rachel and Lydia Fricke, Manitowoc; eight great grandchildren; Ian, Jason, Tyler, Alicia, Jamie, Danny, Austin and Dillion. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son, James W. Fricke; a brother, Edward; an infant sister, Lorraine, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Private family funeral services were held at 11 am on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at St. Francis Faith Formation Center (formerly St. Boniface), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was the Rev. John Schuetze. Florence's cremated remains will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
