James H. Fricke, age 89, of 602 N. Fourth St., Manitowoc, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. A private family memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service will be Sister Michael Majeskie with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date. He was born Nov. 2, 1914, in Milwaukee, son of the late William C. and Mabel (Wills) Fricke. Jim was a 1932 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. On Dec. 26, 1939, he married the former Florence Bies at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Jim was owner of R & J Fricke Company, Manitowoc. He was a member of The Masters Builders Association. Survivors include his wife, Florence Fricke, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Tamara Fricke, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Earl Nokes, Two Rivers; a daughter-in-law, Diane Fricke, Manitowoc and nine grandchildren: Candice (Mark) Truesdell, Milwaukee, Kim Nokes, Neenah, Christopher Nokes, Milwaukee, Craig (Paula) Fricke, Manitowoc, Mark (Lori) Fricke, Green Bay, Adria (Jeff) Pekarek, Two Rivers and Emily, Rachel and Lydia Fricke, all of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by a son, James W. Fricke, a sister, Ruth and a brother, David. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Mary's Home for the care they gave to Jim.
