Viola D. Fricke, 89, a resident of North Ridge Care Center, formerly of 706 N. 8th
Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, February 26, 1989 at North Ridge Care
Center. Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Rev. Leo
Schmitt will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Fricke was born November 12, 1899 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry
and Anne Coutley Fricke. Mrs. Fricke was a lifelong Manitowoc resident and attended
Manitowoc schools, graduating from Washington High School with the Class of 1915.
Prior to her retirement in 1964, she was employed in the Credit Department at Mirro
Aluminum for 46 years.
Survivors include three nieces, Marie Ponschock of Manitowoc, Gladys Keil of Manitowoc,
Elaine Hardina and her husband, Lewis of Two Rivers; a nephew, Leo A. Fricke Jr., of
Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mae Fricke of Manitowoc; cousins, grandnieces and
grandnephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel and two brothers, Leo
Fricke Sr., and Erwin Fricke.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 9 am Wednesday morning and until the hour
of service at 10 am. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
