Mrs. Amanda Gauger, 76, of 1017 South 15th St., Manitowoc, a lifelong resident
of Manitowoc, died early Thursday at the home following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Gauger, the former Amanda Baerwaldt, was born in Manitowoc in 1875 and in
1898 was married to August Gauger, who operated a blacksmith shop on Washington
Street in Manitowoc for many years. He died in 1937.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Papp, of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs.
Martha Feldtmann of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ida Keiser of Orlando, Fla., a grandchild
and great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
