HENRY GAUGER (d. 1963)
Henry Gauger, 81, of 1330 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Gauger was born June 21, 1882, at Maribel, son of the late Frank and Ottelia
Luedtke Gauger. He moved to Manitowoc and was clerk in the men's clothing
departments of several stores He retired about 15 years ago. He was treasurer of
the German Mutual Fire Insurance Co. He married Rose Schley Jan. 9, 1905, at
Maribel.
Among survivors are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Armanda Becker of Maribel, and
several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be moved to the church
where the body will lie in state until time of services.
