Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 1999, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. William Zimmer will officiate at the
Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Evelyn Krush was born February 7, 1906, in Manitowoc,
daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Sawyer Krush. She was an eighth
grade graduate of Sacred Heart School and a 1924 graduate of Manitowoc
Lincoln High School. On September 23, 1935, she married Joseph Gehrke at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 12,
1960. Evelyn worked for the Neenah-Menasha Vocational School, retiring
in 1971. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary of Neenah where she served
as president, vice president and secretary and was also a state officer
for the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a member of the Business and
Professional Woman of Neenah and was also active the Girl Scouts in Neenah.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan (Gerald) Tonn,
Ogden, Utah, Marjorie (Loren) Gerken, Neenah; 11 grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Krush, Plymouth. She was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Walter Krush.
Relatives and friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on
Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
