Mrs. Arthur Geigel, 54, of 1115 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen cemetery.
She was born Esther Bull Nov. 25, 1908, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John
and Emma Mueller Bull. She attended schools at Manitowoc and was married to
Arthur Geigel Nov. 17, 1934, at Manitowoc. She was a member of First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church. She was a past
president of the Band and Orchestra Mothers. She had been employed as a
proofreader at Manitowoc Herald-Times prior to her illness.
Among survivors are her husband; a daughter, Karen Jean, at home; a brother,
John, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Edward Wakley, of Manitowoc and several
nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until
11 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church and the body
will lie in state until the time of service.
