Ralph J. Gilbert Sr., 80, of 2498 Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon,
Oct. 24, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffman will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Gilbert was born July 19, 1900, at Manitowoc, son of the late Carl and Bertha
Neuser Gilbert. He was a lifelong resident of Manitowoc. He married Lorraine
Woellert in 1922, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death Sept. 24, 1937. Prior
to his retirement in 1965 Mr. Gilbert was employed at Mirro Aluminum for 50 years
where he held a position of foreman. He was a member of fraternal order of eagles
area (sic) No. 706 and the Retirement Club of Mirro Aluminum.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph C. and Catherine Gilbert of
Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Violet and Reuben LeClair, Beatrice and
Edward Powalisz both of Two Rivers; a sister and brotherin-law (sic), Claude and
Bernice Allie of Manitowoc; a sister-inlaw (sic), Mrs. Mabel Sepnafski of Manitowoc;
a brother-in-law, Max Wollert of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grand-
children.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, prayer
service 8 p.m. Sunday by Deacon William Klein.
