CHESTER GIRARDI
Chester Girardi, 74, of 420 East Reed Avenue, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, November 26, in Chicago. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Saturday at Parkside Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo J. Schmitt with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Girardi was born April 3, 1911 at Vulcan, Michigan, son of the late Emanuel and Maria Fedrizzi Girardi. He worked for several local places including Sears Roebuck Company and Manitowoc Engineering as a field technician. In 1963 he then became a representative for I.D.S., retiring in 1974. He married the former Marie Rozine on June 30, 1934 at Vulcan, Michigan. Mr. Girardi was a member of Manitowoc Kiwanis Club and Holy Innocents Catholic church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rudy and Jeannette Girardi of Fond du Lac and C.W.O.II Thomas and Carol Girardi of Fort Rucker, Alabama; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Bob Inserra of Park Ridge, Illinois, Dolores and Larry Anhalt of Two Rivers and Gail and Bob Shannon of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Adolph and Marcella Girardi of Norway, Michigan, Eugene Girardi of Brown Deer, Wisconsin and Francis and Marion Girardi of Vulcan, Michigan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Emma Broullire of Iron Mountain, Michigan and rose and Ed Dzik of Norway, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survived.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Friday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm led by Deacon Donald Gigure.
