Funeral services were at 10 am Saturday at Union
Congregational Church, Green Bay for A.J. Goedjen, 81, of 350 Bryan St., Green
Bay, a native of Manitowoc County, who died Thursday at a Green Bay hospital.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Goedjen was vice president
of Wisconsin Public Service Corp from 1938 until his retirement in 1950. He
married Eugenie Chloupek, daughter of the late Judge John Chloupek, at Manitowoc
June 1, 1914. She survives with two sons, Gene A. of Cincinnatti, Ohio and Mark,
of Green Bay; a daughter, Mrs. W. Rogers (Marion) Beasley of Hyden, Ky., and
four grandchildren.
Mr. Goedjen was past president of Wisconsin Utilities
Assn, life member of the Green Bay Association of Commerce, past president of
the Green Bay Rotary club, past president of Nicolet Area Council, Boy Scouts of
America, past president of the Green Bay Community Chest, past member of the UW
Board of Visitors, member of the UW Foundation, Washington Masonic Lodge No. 21
and Northeast Wisconsin Scottish Rite bodies. He received the UW College of
Engineering Award in 1949.

Marriage of Albert/Eugenie Goedjen
WEDDING OF MISS JEANNE CHLOUPEK AND ALBERT GOEDGEN TO BE EARLY AFTER EASTER EVENT
One of the early after Easter social events will be the marriage of Miss Jeanne,
daughter of Judge and Mrs. John Chloupek, this city and Albert Goedgen of
Indianapolis, Ind. Announcement of the approaching marriage has bee made by Judge
and Mr. Chloupek though no date has been set for the wedding which, however, will
be celebrated this spring.
Miss Chloupek is well known in musical circles of this city, having studied abroad.
She is a graduate of the north side schools and since returning form Europe has had
a studio in this city. Mr. Goedjen is a son of the late Henry Goedjen and is a
Manitowoc boy. He was formerly employed at Milwaukee but for some time has been with
a large electrical company at Indianapolis where the young couple will reside.
