EUGENIE GOEDJEN

Mrs. Eugenie Chloupek Goedjen, 100, of 1040 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay, died Saturday,
December 16, 1989. Funeral Services will be 1 pm Friday at Pilgrim Congregational
Church, Green Bay. Rev. Gary Pierce will officiate and interment will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Goedjen was born June 30, 1889 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and
Julia Chloupek. Her father was a Manitowoc County Judge for 33 years. Her husband,
Albert J. Goedjen, who preceded her in death on August 18, 1966, was Vice President
of Wisconsin Public Service. Mrs. Goedjen was active in the musical world of Green
Bay. Her compositions were played by the Philharmonic Society and the Green Bay
Symphonette. She was a member of McDowell Club, Chapter N. of P.E.O. and the Pilgrim
Congregational Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Rose Goedjen of San Diego
and Mark and Florence Goedjen of Green Bay; a daughter and son-in-law, Marion and
Dr. Rogers Beasley of New York City; four grandchildren, Susan Ruth Geodjen of San
Diego, Rogers Beasley Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky, Gabriella Beasley of Chapel Hill,
North Carolina and Rev. Battle and Mrs. Perry Beasley of Memphis, Tennessee. She was
preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Frank and Roland.
Friends may call at the church from 12 noon to 1 pm. Findeisen-Greiser Funeral Home
assisted the family. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Congregational Church for the
restoration of the grand piano or to P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund.

Memory Of Judge Will Be Honored
The memory of the late Judge and Mrs. John Chloupek, who were known
in this city, will be honored in music next Monday evening in Green Bay
when the Polyphonia orchestra of that city plays "Remembrance" written
by the Chloupek's daughter, Mrs. Eugenie Chloupek Goedjen. Three other
numbers of Mrs. Goedjen's will have their orchestral premier at the
spring recital Monday night.

WEDDING OF MISS JEANNE CHLOUPEK AND ALBERT GOEDGEN TO BE EARLY AFTER EASTER EVENT
One of the early after Easter social events will be the marriage of Miss Jeanne,
daughter of Judge and Mrs. John Chloupek, this city and Albert Goedgen of
Indianapolis, Ind. Announcement of the approaching marriage has bee made by Judge
and Mr. Chloupek though no date has been set for the wedding which, however, will
be celebrated this spring.
Miss Chloupek is well known in musical circles of this city, having studied abroad.
She is a graduate of the north side schools and since returning form Europe has had
a studio in this city. Mr. Goedjen is a son of the late Henry Goedjen and is a
Manitowoc boy. He was formerly employed at Milwaukee but for some time has been with
a large electrical company at Indianapolis where the young couple will reside.
