Mrs. Gustav J. Goeters, 55, of 411 N. Fifth St, Manitowoc, died Thursday
afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Methodist Church,
Manitowoc, the Rev. D. L. Wandschneider officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mrs. Goeters, the former Katherine Fessel, was born July 7, 1907, in Austria and
came to the United States in 1922 with her parents. She was married April 4, 1926,
at Chicago to Gustav Goeters and the couple came to Manitowoc in 1955. She was a
member of Rebekah Lodge and was active in St. Paul Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Gustave, of Chicago and Donald, of Munising,
Mich., a half-sister, Barbara, of Chicago and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where
the body will lie in state until time of service.
