WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.
Mr. and Mrs. William Gomoll Entertain in Honor of Their 27th.
Wedding Anniversary.
It was twenty-seven years ago last night that Mr. and Mrs.
William Gomoll spoke the words that pledged them to share
each others joys and sorrows and united their destines for
"better or for worse," until "God himself doth part." Mrs.
Gomoll considered this an altogether too important event to
be allowed to pass by unobserved and so issued invitations
to a number of their friends and relatives to spend the
evening at her home. The invitations were heartily responded
to, for an evening spent at the Gomoll home is always one of
rare pleasure, and eight o'clock found a houseful of friends
to offer congratualtions and well-wishes to their "host" and
"hostess." The evening was passed in social intercourse and
in talking over reminiseeness of the couples early life.
Tempting refreshments were served. The day was of double
significance to Mr. Gomoll for it not only marked the
completion of his twenty-seven years of wedded life, but it
also reminded him of his passage of the fifty-first milestone
in his walk of life. This party was one of the most pleasant
social events of the season, and the evening will long be
remembered, by those present as one of the most pleasant.
Following are the names of those present:
Rev. Machmueller, Mr. and Mrs. John Stahl, Mr. and Mrs. William
Tech, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd. Peters, Mrs. Julius Raether, Mrs. Sophia
Stahl, Misses Ida Stahl, Augusta Gomoll, Josephina Stahl, Messrs.
Emil Stahl, August Tech, Albert Stahl, Henry Klein, William Stahl.
