John Grady, 77, of Rt. 1, Valders, farmer and lifelong Manitowoc County resident,
died early Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a coronary
attack. He was admitted to the hospital Monday afternoon.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with
the Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Grady was born Oct. 1, 1883, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Dennis
and Mary Logan Grady. He married Ruth O’Neil at Manitowoc Sept. 15, 1928. He farmed
on Rt. 1, Valders, 58 years.
Mr. Grady was a director for many years of Joint No. 5, Town of Liberty, School
District.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Miss Florence Grady of Denver, Colo.; a son,
Gordon of Rt. 1, Valders; three brothers, Raymond of Oregon, George of Manitowoc
and Joseph of Valders; and four sisters, Mrs. L. L. Stephaniah of Newton and Mrs.
Robert Pritchard, Mrs. John Mullins and Mrs. Gerald Jansen of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.

Miss Ruth O'[Neill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Neill of the Town of Liberty
and John Grady, also of the Town of Liberty were married Saturday morning at the
First Presbyterian Church in Manitowoc. The couple were attended by Miss Jessie
Goldie and Frank O'Neill Jr., brother of the bride and the ceremony witnessed by
only the immediate families and a few intimate friends. The couple left immediately
after the ceremony on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and after their return
will be on a farm in Liberty. The bride is a highly esteemed and popular young lady.
The groom is a man of excellent habits and is an up-to-date farmer. Their many
friends here offer hearty congratulations.
