Mrs. Lillian C. Grainger, 89, a resident of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died early Wednesday in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Lutheran Church Chapel. The Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Grainger, nee Lillian C. Kurth, was born June 18, 1888, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late William and Johanna Mueller Kurth. She resided in Manitowoc all her life and attended Manitowoc Public Schools. May 17, 1911, she was married to Otis Grainger in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death March 28, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, O. Sherman Grainger and Capt. Kurth Grainger of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Carter (Betty) Davidson of Chicago; a brother, William C. of Manitowoc; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A brother and six sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday, when the casket will be moved to the church, where the body will lie in state from noon until the time of service.
