Harold J. Grall, age 70, of 1007 N. 16th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon,
October 6, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 1996, at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Gerald Foley with burial
to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born January 29, 1926, in Whitelaw, Manitowoc County, son of the late
Joseph and Cora Mahloch Grall. He was a veteran of World War II serving with
the United States Army Air Force in the Pacific area. Harold was a graduate of
Lincoln High School class of 1944. On August 13, 1949, he married the former
Edna Wyszynski at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Grall was a lifelong
Manitowoc resident and was employed by Fischl's Dairy and also Verifine Dairy
Company until his retirement in 1988. Harold was very involved with the Boy Scouts
of America serving as an assistant leader, leader, neighborhood commissioner, board
of Review for Eagle Scouts, and had received the Silver Beaver, St. George Award,
Woodbadge and Order of the Arrow. He was also a charter member of Friends of Sinawa
and the Knights of Columbus Council #710.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael
and Mary Kay Grall, Two Rivers; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Kristin, Two Rivers;
two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Leonard Markowski, Manitowoc, Mary Agnes
and Roger Schuh, Sheboygan; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Grall, Sheboygan, Ruth Stephani,
Manitowoc; a brother-in-law, Robert (Audrey) Wyszynski, Manitowoc. Also surviving are
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Bernard and Robert Grall, a sister-in-law, Ethel Grall, and brother-in-law, Albert
Stephani.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, where a prayer
service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Bill Klein.
Memorials would be appreciated to Friends of Sinawa.
