Ernest M. Greycarek, 77, of 423 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon, July 31 at Holy Family Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc.The Rev. Alfred Klumb will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Greycarek was born Feb. 28, 1908, in the Town of Gibson, Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph and Emma Siminek Greycarek, moving to Manitowoc as a small child where he attended Manitowoc schools and resided all his life. He married Stella Vanne April 21, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill. Mr. Greycarek had been employed with Mirro Corporation for 46 years, retiring Feb. 28, 1973. Mrs. Greycarek preceded him in death Dec. 15, 1975. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc Masonic Lodge No. 64, F and AM, Two Rivers-Manitowoc Shrine Club, Tripoli Shrine Temple of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Scottish Rites Bodies of Milwaukee, Mirro Management Club and a member and past president of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Beverly Greycarek of Manitowoc; a daughter, Bevely Wesline of Milwaukee; six grandchildren, Miss Elizabeth Bond, Mrs. Lynn Falk, Mrs. Mary Morrall, Mrs. Ann Yohn, Mark Greycarek and Miss Sue Greycarek, and four great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 o'clock t o 9 o'clock this Wednesday afternoon and Thursday until the time of service. A Masonic memorial service will be 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening.
